National Motoring Heritage Day is an initiative of Australian Historic Motoring Federation, with the aim being to promote and display Australia’s strong motoring heritage and also show the community, business and government the strength of the Australian historic motoring movement. AHMF is the national peak body for all historic motoring in Australia and represents more than 1000 clubs and 100,000 motoring enthusiasts. National Motoring Heritage Day is promoted by the majority of State/Territory Councils.
We will meet at McDonalds Restaurant Penrith North at the intersection of Castlereagh Road and Peachtree Road, Penrith North at 10am for refreshments and then proceed to the nearby Museum of Fire by 10.45am. There is no cafe at the Museum but plenty of grass to spread out and enjoy your picnic lunch. Owners of historic vehicles on the day get free access to the museum but there is a small charge for other visitors. Full details about the museum are available on their website at www.museumoffire.com.au
