Welcome
The Hillman Owners Club of Australia Inc was formed in September 1983. The Club has approximately 60 members. The aims of our club are:
- To maintain a record of all existing examples of the Hillman motor vehicle from 1907-1940 inclusive and of all members’ vehicles.
- To encourage the restoration and preservation of Hillman vehicles and to foster interest in the Hillman, Commer, Karrier, Tilling Stevens and Vulcan vehicles.
- To provide facilities for contacts between members for the purpose of mutual aid, advice and discussion as well as social and other activities.
- To assist members in obtaining spare parts for their vehicles.
- To participate in joint events with other car clubs
Members own approximately 75 vehicles, dating from the 1930’s - 1970’s. Many of these vehicles have been beautifully restored to showroom condition, while others are in various stages of restoration and others are in original condition. They are all much loved!
Our meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at Ermington Community Centre at 8.00pm. Club members receive a monthly newsletter, and have access to our library which includes workshop manuals that are available for borrowing.
The club organises an outing each month to various locations. Events have included day trips to interesting localities, car display days and weekend trips. These relaxed and informal get togethers are a great way to meet other members and enjoy sharing common interests. All members are welcome to attend. More information about events is available on the events page.
