2014 National Hillman Rally - Bathurst

After almost 4 years of planning, our 12th National Hillman Rally has been run and what a great event it was.

Bathurst turned on it’s very best weather for us all to enjoy, as we motored around the many different venues during the 4 days of the Easter break.
The Show and Shine took place on the Sunday morning, and included many cars from the
Bathurst Historic Car Club. The display attracted a huge amount of interest from the local residents. The Bathurst Fire Brigade also displayed their Fire Trucks and the Lion’s Club provided us with food and refreshments during the day. Venues we visited during the rally included:

  • Abercrombie House
  • Ben Chifley's House
  • The Stone Pine Distillery
  • Miss Trail's House
  • Old Government Cottage
  • Mt Panorama
  • The Motor Museum

The evenings were also very enjoyable. We spent the first night visiting the Motor Museum at Mount Panorama, and of course our Gold Themed Dinner on Saturday night was a loot of fun and a great success. Our trophy presentation and charity auction took place on Sunday evening, with a generous amount being raised for Riding for the Disabled.

Overall the Rally was a huge success and was enjoyed by all who attended. Many of these participants travelled from interstate, and we thank them for taking the time to drive the very long distances to Bathurst to join us for the event.

Enjoy viewing the slideshow of members visiting the wonderful venues - and see if you can find a photo of yourself!

  • To encourage the restoration and preservation of Hillman vehicles and to foster interest in the Hillman, Commer, Karrier, Tilling Stevens and Vulcan vehicles.
  • To provide facilities for contacts between members for the purpose of mutual aid, advice and discussion as well as social and other activities.
